David Nyamekye better known as DJ 619 or 619, is a Ghanaian DJ, event promoter and entrepreneur. He doubles as the official DJ for ANKARA FESTIVALS LA.
Known as “619” he holds a track record of many successful events to his name. Afrobeats LA, Good Mood Vibes(Day Parties In LA) and his annual event “ALL BLACK EXCELLENCE GLAM” in December(Los Angeles, California).
DJ 619 is based in Los Angeles, California. He works as artist Dj, promoter and event planner. His current residence is at ELEVATE LOUNGE ROOFTOP, FOUNTAIN LA, HARBOR HOUSE AND THE MATEO WAREHOUSE. 619 is signed to BLACK AVENUE MUZIK(BAM FAMILY). He is a specialist in Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro house, house music, dancehall, reggae and soca.
In 2017 and 2018 619 was nominated for the prestigious award HAPAWARDS in Los Angeles California. In 2019 and 2020 he was nominated for AFRIFAMU Best African DJ Diaspora, where he won both nominations. 619 gained popularity as an MC for GHANA INDEPENDENCE DAY PARTY LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA. 619 toured as a DJ for group duo RUFFNSMOOTH and as their road manager. He became part of empire live USA who organized Sarkodie first event in Los Angeles, California.
619 became part of the promoter/DJ for Flavour Nabania and Kojo Antwi concert In Los Angeles with empire live USA and he DJ FOR Shatta Wale AT CLUB SAVOY INGLEWOOD CALIFORNIA. He also Played for Samini as a dj at CLUB SAVOY and dj for Davido, Kukere master Iyanya, Reekado Banks(Los Angeles base dj), D-black Los Angeles Base dj, Mc Galaxy, Ice prince, Kizz Daniel, Meaku (personal dj) and Rison (personal dj).
